A title is a document that proves you legally own your vehicle in Missouri. If you are purchasing a new vehicle you must have a title within 30 days. When you you give away or sell a used vehicle you must do a title transfer.

When doing a title transfer get the following documents and submit them along with the fees to the DOR office:
- Have the title signed over to you. The title must include the federal odometer disclosure if the vehicle is less than ten years old.
